Committee for agents licensing exam

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has decided to computerise all examination centres for pre-recruitment examinations of insurance agents, run by Insurance Institute of India (III) and NSE-IT by March 31, 2011.
III and NSE-IT are to enter into an agreement along with IRDA and, for this, IRDA has appointed a committee to
1. Recommend the examination for candidates appearing for the examination and to
2. Finalise the financial arrangements between III and NSE-IT for conducting the examination
The following have been appointed to the committee which is to submit its report by end of July 2010.
Mr S B Mathur, Secretary General, Life Insurance Council – Chairman
Mr S L Mohan, Secretary General, General Insurance Council – Member
Mr Suresh Mathur, Joint Director, IRDA – Convener
Mr Sharad Shrivastva, Secretary General, Insurance Institute of India – Member
Mr Sanjeev Jain, Deputy Director, IRDA – Member
Representatives from NSE-IT, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Agents Training Institutes Association and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company – Members. n
