Rs 90 crore Dividend!
Union Minister for Finance, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, was given a dividend cheque of The New India Assurance Company Limited for Rs 90 crore for the financial year 2009-10 by Mr M Ramadoss, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, New India.
The Bengaluru chapter of Life Underwriters’ Guild of India held a one-day seminar titled ‘Take Off’ on September 5. The needs of the 422 participants to achieve aims like the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) membership, Court of the Table and Top of the Table achievements were addressed.
The 600 plus attendance at the 12th Insurance Summit 2009 on September 18, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Mumbai, the most in 10 years, had a lot to discuss. Even though the ‘commission issue’ was every one’s lips, other routine issues too were addressed by doyens who took the mike.
